Writing the Next Chapter
Campaign for Impact & Sustainability
The Highwood Library & Community Center (HLCC) serves as a lifeline to the local community. Their programming is driven and informed by the needs and interests of those we serve has allowed us to have a remarkable impact.

Over the last two years, the HLCC has become an extraordinary asset to the local community. Together, we have come so far!

The HLCC recently completed a $2 million capital campaign for Literacy and Transformation, successfully securing the funding required to transform our facility into a 21st Century Library and Community Center.
With the support of so many friends in our community, the library is now able to carry out the brick-and-mortar renovation that has been long overdue.
Now, it is necessary to focus on long-term sustainability. It is critical that we build the capacity to deliver quality services and programs. The Friends organization is excited to launch a $1 million campaign over the next 18 months to build the capacity to sustain expanded programming and operations. Your support will allow the library to cultivate the potential for literacy that exists in us all.

State Senator Julie Morrison
The Highwood Public Library is a center of the community. It provides vital services for learners of all ages, but especially our children. Libraries are also one of the few indoor spaces where people can go and spend their time enjoyably and productively for free! I highly encourage everyone to support this important institution.
